Human rights and especially women's rights are often threatened. Although there are numerous laws and agreements at national and international level, they are often not implemented. They are also often not known enough.

We, women lawyers from different countries, have agreed on 6 November 2007 to create this association with the aim to initiate a deeper community among women lawyers of various nationalities.

We want:

• to inform on the situation of women's rights in the home land and abroad
• recognize and fight against discrimination and rights violations against women 
• beitragen zur Prävention von Frauenrechtsverletzungen
• acquaint and clarify the, still in Germany not very known, United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW)
• make known and spread EU policies  
• create precedents - a tool that shows our legal strength
• enlighten about national and international laws by issuing comments and press releases
• assist in the integration of people with migration background
